An 18th century house and its 7,000 m² of parklands just two

This old, 290 m² mill, redesigned in the 1950's, stands in a village with a very good tourist trade in the midst of the Burgundy region. The village still has all local shops. A train station with links to Paris-Austerlitz is not far away. The village has specialised in pottery since the 14th century. A stoneware museum exhibits traditional and contemporary works by highlighting the creations of Jean-Carries, an innovator in the world of pottery, notably via his sculptural compositions. The house faces a Renaissance style chateau, reconstructed in 1530 by Antoine-de-Rochechouart, chamberlain to King François 1st. The site of the mill is, therefore, listed. A country lane goes for several kilometres through an immense oak forest. Once in the village, a br idge crosses the river, La-Vrille, which flows alongside the old mill. This river is a right-bank tributary of the river Loire. The house is there, surrounded by abundant vegetation. The nearby Renaissance chateau keeps an eye on its old mill. Double wooden gates open on to a driveway that leads to an old barn, where cars are now parked, and then to parklands, planted with trees over a hundred years old and dotted with various species of flowers. The countryside in the immediate vicinity of the residence is very English and pastoral. Stone grinding wheels rest on the grass as a reminder of this construction's original vocation. The garden also includes a well-laid out vegetable garden. A stone table and chairs are set out near to the house
