In the hamlet of Sint-Dimpna, within cycling distance of the city centre of Geel, Matexi is building a brand-new residential neighbourhood: Laar. Here, sustainability, green spaces and social encounters go hand in hand. This neighbourhood offers central yet peaceful living. Schools, youth and sports clubs, care facilities and shops are all within walking distance. Within this project, Matexi is developing a pleasant mix of housing, wide pedestrian and cycling paths, a neighbourhood square and two public green zones.

Thanks to the great diversity of apartments and houses, both young and old immediately feel at home here. In total, we are building 116 residential units — roughly half apartments and half houses — all set in a green environment:

The houses offer a beautiful mix of flat or pitched roofs and 3 or 4 bedrooms. Thanks to the spacious and flexible attic spaces under the pitched roof, there is room for a fourth and possibly fifth bedroom or hobby space. The houses come with a carport, integrated garage and/or a parking space on their own lot. Others have a carport in a nearby parking area and a convenient garden storage unit.

Green in front and back

The living spaces in the houses are double-oriented. This means they face the public park at the front and your private garden at the back. Indoor and outdoor spaces flow seamlessly together — perfect for enjoying all that greenery!

These homes are fully energy-neutral, meaning they produce as much energy as they consume. They are equipped with advanced insulation and a highly efficient energy management system. The indoor climate remains pleasant year-round thanks to an integrated heat pump system and underfloor heating. New: Residence August
Residence August is the latest chapter in the story of Geel Laar. This standalone apartment building features 16 energy-efficient apartments with 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms. All units have spacious south-facing terraces overlooking a large public green area. Underground parking and individual bicycle storage are provided.
