Overview
Description
House
This residence, built in 1923 to plans drawn up by architect Ph. Van Styvendael, has a singular charm imbued with the Beaux-Arts and Art Deco styles characteristic of summer villas in Spa, Le Coq-sur-Mer and the Normandy coast. Although the architect is not a famous figure, his sometimes eccentric creations testify to a sophisticated aesthetic.
Georges is marked by history. Originally commissioned by Amédée Boen, owner of a piano factory and piano dealer, the house was later owned by Claire Emilie Hennes, widow of journalist François Joseph De Wever. Today, the Claire Hennes - De Wever awards from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels perpetuate her commitment to theater and classical music. .
