The parking area, the corridors and the technical rooms in the basement are illuminated by means of TL lamps in a luminaire. The lighting in the parking area is controlled by motion detectors. In the technical rooms, it is controlled by single or double pole surface mounted switches. The lighting in the entrance hall, stairwell and landings is controlledby motion detectors. The basement parking lot is ventilated by means of natural or mechanical ventilation. The air is supplied through openings in the basement and distributed to the common and private areas. The distribution is coupled with a CO detection system that evacuates the stale air. The parking lot floors are finished in semi-industrial polished concrete. The parking spaces are delimited by lines on the ground. On each level of the building, the elevator landings and stairwells are equipped with emergency lighting, which provides lighting for a certain period of time in the event of a power outage. The apartment building is equipped with 4 passenger elevators that comply with Belgian standards and European directives 95/16/EC and
